Game of Thrones made TV history at the 68th Emmy Awards after it won Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Miguel Sapochnik for “Battle of the Bastards”) and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (David Benioff & D.B. Weiss for “Battle of the Bastards”), bringing the HBO epic fantasy’s total Emmys to 38 – the most for any primetime show ever. The show’s sixth season won 12 Emmys in total, matching last year’s haul, and though none of its stars won acting awards, there’s no doubt they’re a huge part of Game of Thrones’ success. Plus they sure know how to dazzle at the 2016 Emmy Awards red carpet:Emilia Clarke in a stunning nude-toned gown.
